Unconditional LOVE is NOT unconditional RESPECT.
I can love you unconditionally (like God/the universe/divine does) but do NOT ask me to respect you unconditionally!
While Gods best law may be unconditional love, it is respect that is earned.
Respect means that I will be intentional about appreciating you for you. I may even choose to follow you. And this will happen for as long as you lead the way through VALUES based ACTIONS and BEING-NESS.
Yes, I will always treat you kindly regardless of your actions towards me (unconditional love).
But as far as respecting you enough to choose to share life with you — as a friend, mentor, colleague etc — that is totally CONDITIONAL.
Leaders, EARN the RESPECT of your people, your friends and family.
